If no obvious shortcuts taken like plastic undersides, for me the lighter the model the better.. If you take a look at EXOTO models they are very lights compared to their equivalents. In short, if properly done, the light weight is indicative of better engineering and higher quality of materials used. Regards, Sergey

Not really, it's just right now I can get better deals on 1:12 GMP models than their 1:18 equivalents. For example, I was trying to obtain 1:18 "silver" Goodwrench Vette for ages, but the prices were just creeping up to a point where 1:12 far more detailed GMP version was cheaper than the 1:18 AA one. I'm waiting for 1:12 GMP versions of Ford GT40 MKII to dip below $200USD shipped so I can buy them in lieu of EXOTO ones. I have two other 1:12 GMP C-5R Vettes, but I'll put them on eBay in 2009 since I have similar liveries in 1:18 by AutoArt. Regards, Sergey
