The scale is odd, 1:20. Exterior detail is quite good, but engine bay detail is quite poor made of lower quality plastic with no stickers and minimal plumbing. Also the fit and finish could be better. I've seen some 1:18 versions of Golden Dragon on eBay (the ones that come in wooden chest), but they are quite pricey. I wouldn't pay more than $40USD for the Signature model. Regards, Sergey

Sincerely doubt that. In 1966 Japanese auto industry was way behind the US one, Nissan Prince was probably closer to Dong Feng Golden Dragon rather than Fairlane. Regards, Sergey

The 1972 Ontario 500 was on 3 September, and McCluskey started in 8th position. Gordon Johncock was the early leader in the #24 McLaren, but he wrecked on Lap 169, and McCluskey took the 1st postion. Thanks for the tip, but I don't use Patto's decals anymore. They are too expensive and have issues with pixelation. I don't mind at all. Whatever is easier for you is fine by me. Regards, Sergey

Thanks. I have three racing 635s. In theory, Jim Richards 1985 ATTC winning 635 should be the best looking one, but I can't find 1:18 JPS decals that fit this car and don't disintegrate upon contact with water. Regards, Sergey

Yep. I've seen some handbuilts from MR and BBR not with just all of the above fixed in open position, but in full on operating mode ala 1:18. The problem is that these models cost at lest several hundred Euros. Also one can commission a builder like the famed Alex Kustov (http://www.italianhorses.net/ to built such a model from a kit, but the cost will easily be in several thousand EUROs. Regards, Sergey

It's not the Macro settings, but the lack of natural light in San Francisco at this time of the year. Cheap Canon cameras like my A540 are notorious for inability to focus in auto mode (I'm not that advanced to use full manual or to have professional set up) when multiple focus points are involved. Furthermore, another issue with cheap Canons is that pics on the monitor screen look nothing like the ones you see on the camera LCD screen. On the other hand, for some reason my Bike models pis and 1:43 usually come great on a first try. Regards, Sergey

Thanks for the comments guys. This is coming from someone who hasn't met 1:18 model that he didn't like!? Double standards my friend, double standards :D Honestly, when I like the model that doesn't fit the theme of my collection, I use a simple rule of thumb: if I decide to sell and get my money back, then I'm buying it.
