Peter Brock's 1997 ATCC HRT VS Commodore (Round 8 Winner) Barbagallo Raceway V8s 1997... it was the fairy-tale everyone was hoping for. Having announced his V8 retirement in May, Peter Brock set off on an Australia wide farewell tour. By July, the Australian Touring Car Championship had reached Perth. In this, effectively his 207th championship start, Brock qualified 4th and - with podium results in all three heat races - went on to win the Round, being his 37th and final Round win in ATCC competition. This 1:18 scale piece represents that victorious car, the 1997 season Holden Racing Team '05' VS Commodore. When released, each limited edition model will come with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Great pics. If one will mate AutoArt exterior with Kyosho interior, he'll get a perfect model. If I had to chose between the two I would have picked Kyosho because AA interior is very spartan. Regards, Sergey

I think Schuco will make one in 1:18, but once again why bother? As Kislik photos show the SunStar version is exceptional, and even in 1:12 this model is not that big. Great addition and enjoy. Regards, Sergey

More than a few non-Aussie Falcons, Commies, Toranas, Pacers, etc, raced in the land Down Under. If you browse the Aussie forums ATCC winning Volvo 240 and Bathurst-winning Jaguars (1985 I think) are the most requested models to be made. However, unless Classic or Biante will find a partner to produce them, I doubt that either of theses companies will make these models due to "return on investment" calculations. I think the next non-Aussie brand racer to be released will be one of the R32 Skylines by Biante utilizing AutoArt mold or tooling, most likely it'll be a GIO one.
