О планах не слышал, но сделать наверняка сделают.

Хотя американская полиция Custom Royal Lancer'ы не покупала, только Coronet'ы - 2-х и 4-х дверные седаны.

За последние три дня по буржуйским сайтам разошлась такая новость (источник - магазин Toronto Motorsports):

A bit more info regarding AA's steel Delorean

** THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT WAS ISSUED BY TORONTO MOTORSPORTS TODAY **

“Due to the complexity of the hand finished brushed stainless steel effect on the new 1:18 scale Delorean, AutoArt has cancelled the remainder of their intended production.

Less than 1,000 of the diecast metal models will ever see the light of day and needless to say, these models are in extremely short supply.

As of now, Toronto Motorsports will not be charging a premium for the models we have remaining in inventory, but we expect the market to skyrocket once the news is circulated.

We have been told that the markets that are still expecting delivery, WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY, period!”

PS: 5000 units were commissioned but only (20%) made the cut. AA's website has no reference for this product not even in black, the next release color.

 

Вкратце.

AutoArt заказал Delorean в исполнении "нержавеющая сталь" в количестве 5000 штук. Через контроль качества прошло только 20%. Т.е. менее 1000 штук увидят свет. Все они уже разошлись по дилерам. Других не будет. Европа не получит ничего (это уже мои домыслы). Одновременно AutoArt анонсировал выход модели в матово-черном цвете (возможно, в него будут перекрашены отбракованные экземпляры в нержавейке).

 

Рынок делает выводы - Wholescale Diecast Models на Ebay за последние три дня продал делореанов в два раза больше, чем до этого за две недели.

 

Рождается новый раритет ?

На мой вопрос о соответствии указанной информации действительности АА ответили лишь: Dear Sir, 79911 is available. Повторил вопрос - ноль реакции.

Сегодня спросил, будет ли модель доступна в Европе. Ответ: Dear Sir, This is a pre-order item. Please place the order at your earliest convenience. Yes, it will be available worldwide.

да. Была же форма у ERTL с функционалом. Но перекрас гринлайт решили сделать из глухого. Вот зачем?

А я не знал , что их Торино глухой... Думал это копия Иртла. Спасибо ! Теперь нет смысла брать даже в таком красивом цвете !!!

честно - никаких ассоциаций ни с легендарным GT, ни с римейком. эта машина больше похожа на любой из современных гиперкаров (Феррари, Ликан, МкЛарен и т.д.). не цепляет...

From Acme / GMP:

 

"Acme has reached an exclusive deal with Highway 61 to use all their 1/18 molds! We are very excited about this as these are some quality molds that have been dormant for many years but still have plenty of potential.

 

This is quite an undertaking, considering the number of molds that HWY built, but we are up to the task. To avoid any QC issues, we are opening all the molds one by one and cleaning, restoring, polishing, etc... before we proceed with any production. We will also be making a complete change / upgrade to the packaging. Each release will come branded as an Acme model and will be packaged in a sealed box with a styrofoam clamshell, just like all other Acme models.

 

Distributors, please feel free to submit any ideas and thoughts for cars that you want to see done from these tools. With your input and Acme's design touch; we know that this will breathe some fresh air into the hobby!

 

The first mold that we have opened and prepared for production is the 1970-71 Plymouth Cuda."
